Why is my profile disapproved?
Be Collared aims to be a reliable and high-quality website for BDSM and Fetish oriented people. By taking the trouble to completely and correctly filling out your profile, place photos and obtain a validation, you signal that you are seriously looking for like-minded people.
A profile is disapproved if it is not seriously written, or if it doesn't meet the rules for profiles and photos, or if the owner of the profile engages in conduct that violates the Terms of Use. If the profile is disapproved, then the owner of the profile always receives an e-mail with the reason for the rejection.
What should I do if my profile is disapproved?
If your profile is disapproved then the only thing you can do is change your profile. All other parts of the website will be closed to you. You will regain access to all parts of the website only after your profile is approved by our moderators.
Can people with a disapproved profile look at my profile?
No, they must first change their own profile. After the profile is changed it is evaluated by a moderator. The user only gains access to other profiles after the updated profile is approved by the moderator.
I updated my profile, but the changes aren't yet visible?
Most profiles are actively moderated. This means that the changes made to the profile are first submitted to the moderator. Until that time, the profile remains visible in the old, unchanged form. Once the moderator has approved the changes, the adjustments become visible.
Ho can i restrict access to my profile?
The photos and the profile contents can be shielded from certain groups of visitors in different ways. You find these possibilities under the menu Profile > Settings, on the Settings tab. There are three access restriction options:
- Profile access restrictions - f.e. Standard practice is to make the text of your profile visible to anonymous visitors (note that anonymous visitors can never see your profile images). If you don't want this then check the option: Trial & Full memmbers only.
- Image album restrictions - f.e. Image albums can only be seen by Full Members. Do you want to give access to the photo album only to validated members? Then check the following option: "Validated members only"
- Single man restrictions - f.e. You don’t want to allow singles access to your profile? Check the following line: "Don't allow single men to access my profile.
If there is a single member that you want to deny access to your profile then you can put that person on your "Ignore List". In that case the person cannot look at your profile and no email or QM contact is possible. Please note that the Ignored person will notice that he/she is being ignored by you.

Be Collared profiles and Google
Most Be Collared profiles can be found through Google. This is only possible when you search for the exact profile name. The search results of Google show only the first two lines of the profile text. When you click on the link of the search result the profile text-only page will be visible. To see the profile pictures you have to be logged in on the Be Collered website. Anonymous visitors can never see your pictures, pictures of friends or validations. In the area's where your pictures normally are they will see an image with the words: "Login to see the image".
When you choose for one of these options:

- Full Members Only
- Validated Members Only

The owner of this profile does not allow it to be viewed by anonymous visitors. You must register your own profile before you can view this profile. Please follow the link to the registration page and follow the instructions provided.
